Continuing Education

Vancro offers workshops, trainings and mentorship opportunities.

Vancro is now an approved RID CMP Sponsor

Hi there! My name is Page Kirby, I am the Program Manager for Community Engagement and I run our continuing education program here at VIIS. We have an exciting announcement to share with you! We were recently approved by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) as a Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) sponsor. As you may already know, as part of our commitment to uplifting the interpreting community and the communities that we serve, we offer free workshops with CEUs to the interpreters on our roster. CMP sponsorship means that we will be able to process CEUs for our workshops in house for a faster turnaround time and will allow us to offer CEUs for a wider variety of workshops and trainings. As a CMP sponsor, we may also be able to provide CEUs for academic coursework and non-traditional activities. For more information on what types of activities may qualify for CEUs, you can reference RID’s website here. If you believe you have an activity that would qualify for CEUs and you would like to request processing or if you have any questions, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We look forward to learning with you!
