Cory Brunner
Profile
Hello. My name is Cory Brunner, and I’m the Vice President of InterpretingSservices for Vancro Integrated Interpreting Services (VIIS). I was introduced to American Sign Language through a friend whose brother was Deaf. After graduating
from Northeastern University with a degree in American Sign Language/English interpreting. I acquired my national credentials through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf in 2001 and 2002, respectively. For the last 20 years, I’ve been an interpreter working in private practice having been on many local, state and national boards and committees serving interpreters and the Deaf community. I am highly committed to my craft. I started working with Vancro as a program manager in 2019 and was promoted to director and then to Vice President in 2021. I oversee all of the sign language interpreting, reader services, and DeafBlind service contracts nationwide. I also support business development and am responsible for vetting interpreters and ensuring that Vancro is providing exceptional service. Vancro has a very unique approach to procuring interpreters. One that honors Deaf preference and interpreters’ terms and conditions while providing excellent service to our requesters. It is an honor to be part of an organization like Vancro whose goal is to ensure equity in our service provision.
