Cory Brunner

Hello! I’m Cory Brunner, the Senior Vice President at Vancro Integrated Interpreting Services (VIIS). My journey with American Sign Language (ASL) began through a close friend whose brother is Deaf. After earning my degree in ASL/English interpreting from Northeastern University, I went on to earn national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) in 2001 and 2002.

With over 20 years of experience in ASL interpretation, I’ve worked in private practice and served on numerous local, state, and national boards and committees, supporting both interpreters and the Deaf community. My commitment to the craft of interpreting has always been a driving force in my career.

In 2019, I joined Vancro as a Program Manager, where I quickly advanced to Director and then Vice President in 2021. In my role, I oversee sign language interpreting services, reader services, and DeafBlind service contracts nationwide. I also play an integral role in business development and interpreter vetting, ensuring that Vancro consistently delivers exceptional service to our clients.

Vancro’s approach to interpreter procurement is unique in that it prioritizes Deaf community preferences while also respecting the terms and conditions of our interpreters. This commitment to service excellence and equity is what makes Vancro a leader in the field. I’m proud to be part of an organization that strives to provide equitable access to communication for all.
