Shaile Cohen

Hello I’m Shaile Cohen, a hearing interpreter from Albany, NY. When I was 15 years old, I started learning sign language from being in the community where I was exposed to Deaf Culture. This has been a pleasurable experience for me and I am thankful for the community for including me and helping me grow as a teenager. Through that experience I have gained perspective, language, and culture which I am grateful for. I then decided that I wanted to become an interpreter and attended NTID in Rochester. After graduating, I came back home to Albany. I have since been freelancing as an interpreter in educational, medical, dental, 12-step program, performing arts, and other settings. I really enjoy interpreting. I am looking forward for the opportunity to meet and work with you! Take care!
