Profile

Vermont – CSC, CHI ’13

Miriam Lerner has been a professional interpreter since 1983, and achieved RID certification in 1985.  She has worked in various settings in Los Angeles and Rochester, NY, and now is eager to provide quality service in her new state of Vermont!  Although she has concentrated on post secondary classroom interpreting for many years (CSUN, RIT/NTID), she has also worked in elementary education, medical appointments, hospital, community, and performing arts events. She created and directed a documentary about the evolution of ASL poetry, THE HEART OF THE HYDROGEN JUKEBOX (posted on Youtube for free!), and convened Deaf master signer translation groups for the ASLcore project. Nice to meet you all!
