Eliza Goodhue is a certified ASL/English interpreter (CI/CT) serving northwest and central Vermont communities, as well as broad-reaching video remote interpreting (VRI) needs.

As a freelance interpreter, Eliza’s motto is “variety is the spice of an interpreting life.” She loves waking up one morning headed into the video conference home office to interpret a college physics or English, and the next day heading off to interpret a conference for K-12 educators looking to hone their skills. Bringing with her a range of skills and breadth of experience, Eliza enjoys adapting to situations as they arise, thereby facilitating successful communication for everyone.

Eliza graduated from Smith College with an undergraduate degree in biology. Her academic studies also include education and child development, and chemistry. Eliza additionally holds a state license to practice bodywork, which includes also the practice of alternative and holistic health. With two decades of scientific study and freelance interpreting experience, Eliza applies a range of generalist and specialty study and experience to meet a myriad of interpreting needs.
