Profile

Vermont – RID Advanced, MCDHH legally Screened

Kelly is the oldest daughter to Deaf parents, who never thought she’d be an interpreter. However, fate had other plans and she began her journey into interpreting in 2005 and hasn’t looked back. Since then, Kelly has worked in private practice throughout New York and New England. While she has experience in various settings (i.e. conference, mental health, corporate, and government) she is most invested in interpreting work within legal settings. She is engaged in leadership at the local, regional, and national levels of the interpreting profession. She has coordinated and implemented countless community-based projects and events primarily focusing on social justice and Deaf-parented interpreters. As an Integrated Model of Interpreting (IMI) practitioner, Kelly is involved in the dedicated practice of reflective dialogue at the Etna Project.
